AT BSOA, Edinburgh Gallery, SEPT – OCT 2022

This collection is based on the biblical creation story in Genesis 1 and 2. All of creation was born within the short period of 7 days, and the start of the human race came from two lowly forms. Adam was created from the dust of the earth, and Eve came from Adam’s rib. Eventually all humans will return to their original form – the dust of the earth. The covid-19 pandemic has given many a new outlook on life and a greater focus on its fragility. It is only when life is in jeopardy that you realize both it’s true value and it’s finiteness on earth. This collection provides new purpose and life to objects that would otherwise be discarded by combining them into a beautiful cohesive piece. It mimics the beauty on the earth that came from dust.
