Show opens May 16!

My show Repurposed: Beauty From Broken opens at the Bermuda Society of Arts on May 16. The image used in the invitation is a great example of repurposing of found or discarded objects. “Serena” the mermaid, pictured on the invite, includes slate, sea glass, broken china and discovered china doll hands (located in her lower left abdomen). Each piece has a story to tell about the found objects and they help create the personality of the piece. It is always exciting to discover an object and feel an new work starting to develop!
